Very funny and has some good action/adventure sequences, too。 I think 4th and 5th graders will enjoy。

Thoroughly enjoyed the audio book。

This was very humorous and entertaining! Listened to it on audible, and the narrator did a great job nailing those voices。 It's great for a quick listen or read! Ridiculous but absolutely funny。 This is the book that my elementary boys would write if they were to write a book。

This series is hilarious。 Klawde might be my spirit animal。 Not sure what year I read this or why it never got updated in Goodreads。

Anna

Read this book for my daughter(7 year old)。 She absolutely loved it。 The idea of having one chapter on behalf of a cat and one - on behalf of a boy - makes this book amazing to read。

Hilarious! I think kids are going to love this series。

Carrie Jacobs

Funny to hear the car describe humans

Lisa Jean

I read this with my teenage son, we both enjoyed the characters, the humour, the storyline, overall was a fun and clever book, looking forward to reading the next one in the series。

These books are hilarious, fun to read out loud to the kids。

We listened to the audiobook on a car trip。 Voice actors were very good。

Fun series starter appropriate for kids (3rd to 6th) who like zany tales with a touch of snarky humor。 Think ET in feline form, but with more attitude。 Having been ousted from the planet he ruled, Klawde lands on Earth at the home of Raj, whose family has just arrived from NY to Elba, Oregon。 It's the set up for a great friendship, despite the hissing and claws bared。 Klawde is able to help Raj find his inner warrior, and Raj is able to help Klawde get home。。。。or is he? 3。5 - I enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it to my students。 Very silly and fun。 I think short passages from it could be used to teach inferences and context clues。 I would recommend it to any reader who enjoyed Wedgie and Gizmo or Flora and Ulysses。

Kind of dumb, but also really hilarious。 Klawde is an alien warlord sent to earth as punishment for staging a coup。 But he is discovered by Raj, a tween boy who has just moved to the middle of Oregon and is in need of a friend。 Eventually the pair team up to help get Klawde back home。 Also Raj's parents are making him go to two weeks of wilderness day camp, which he hates。Told in alternating chapters, first Raj, then Klawde narrating almost the same things in his evil alien warlord way。 I laughe Kind of dumb, but also really hilarious。 Klawde is an alien warlord sent to earth as punishment for staging a coup。 But he is discovered by Raj, a tween boy who has just moved to the middle of Oregon and is in need of a friend。 Eventually the pair team up to help get Klawde back home。 Also Raj's parents are making him go to two weeks of wilderness day camp, which he hates。Told in alternating chapters, first Raj, then Klawde narrating almost the same things in his evil alien warlord way。 I laughed multiple times。 The chapters are nice and short, some illustrations, though heavily text。First in the series。 A good pick for Bluestem, I think。 。。。more

Kids and I listened to this story and loved it! The audio is hilarious, it seems like they have two voices reading, one from Raj (the human boy's POV) and one for Klawde (the warlord cat)。 The story is typical elementary fare but for my two elementary school children, it was a hoot and we loved it so much we are going to listen to the other books as well! Age rating: 7-11I love that the idea for this book sounds like it came from a ten-year-old’s writing notebook。 The authors really took the idea and ran with it。 Klawde’s character had a very distinct and hilarious voice。 This book made me laugh!

Kara

Love this for elementary students。 It’s too mature for my kindergartners。 However, it makes me *kind of* wish I taught second or third grade again。 I am sure they would be in fits of giggles if this was our read-aloud!

Jgramley

Reminded me of a more evil and diabolical Gizmo from Wedgie and Gizmo。 Felt for Raj too moving at such a critical time in his life。

Tara Espinoza

Ok, not what I would typically pick up and think I’d enjoy, but I found it hilarious。 Cat lovers (and haters) will laugh!

Melinda

A little predictable, but a fun if over the top read。 Would be great for beginning readers。 Would make a great read aloud。

I liked this book better than I thought I would。 I'm usually not drawn to "fantasy" or graphic novel hybrids。 However, listening to it drew me in by virtue of the excellent narration。 On top of that, the personality of cats came out in the humor, and the story of a city boy moving to the "sticks" and being forced to go to survival camp by his parents all combined to be pretty engaging。 I liked this book better than I thought I would。 I'm usually not drawn to "fantasy" or graphic novel hybrids。 However, listening to it drew me in by virtue of the excellent narration。 On top of that, the personality of cats came out in the humor, and the story of a city boy moving to the "sticks" and being forced to go to survival camp by his parents all combined to be pretty engaging。 。。。more
